CASI Foundation Grant Guidelines
In general, the grant making of CASI Foundation is limited to supporting non-profits interested in implementing advanced fundraising concepts and seeking long-term sustainability. Most grantees have been invited by the Foundation to participate in the Community Empowerment Fund Initiative and other Foundation led capacity building projects.
From unrestricted funds, the Foundation does not make grants to individuals, nor does it provide grants for capital projects, medical research, direct services or work outside the United States. The Foundation anticipates declining a very high percentage of otherwise worthy proposals that do not meet these guidelines.
Organizations wishing to send a proposal to the Foundation should submit a letter of no more than three typewritten pages describing the organization, its programs, the amount of funds requested, and a brief explanation of how the proposed work fits within the mission of the CASI Foundation. CASI Foundation only accepts proposals in the months of March and September annually. Please do not send video tapes, computer disks, binders, or other bulky materials. Foundation board members will review the material and reply in writing after approximately 30 days.
